The luxurious Savour Salon, located in Da Ling Shan in China, uses design cues from the fashion industry to attract customers.
reated by Co-Direction Interior Design, the 1,350 sqm (14,530 sq ft) salon offers a range of hairdressing, makeup, manicure and photography services, as well as a café.
A marble fascia with thin-framed glass and a backlit logo provides a modern feel, which is reflected inside.
layered wall treatment sees integrated video displays and wall lamps used to create a terraced effect.
Lighting features include clusters of LED bulbs suspended from rose gold ceiling plates, with LED strips used to create a transition between wall and ceiling.
As customers leave the curved café bar area they enter a broad lobby space, which uses a ceiling design of squares influenced by Mondrian’s paintings – a theme which is continued throughout the space. U-shaped fences form box-type units that break up the space to create a sense of order.
Mirrors in shampoo areas contain LED strips to increase light levels, while spotlights have been avoided to reduce the dazzling effect of direct lights. VIP rooms offer a higher degree of privacy for customers.
