VM choice: Emma Hope's musical collie dogs

Emma Hope’s shoe store, close to London’s Sloane Square, often has lovely VM. The current display is no exception, formed from a stack of elegant gilt chairs - the kind we usually associate with the couture houses, or classical musical events.

Here they are piled two rows high and interspersed with a pair of collie dog puppy toys, surrounded by pairs of pumps, boots, and sneakers.

At either end of the stack of chairs is a music stand, with three sneakers filling the space for the sheet music. Note the satin evening bag casually slung across the back of the adjacent chair, reinforcing the deliberately happenstance air of the window.

At the opposite end, a pair of mismatched loafers fills the music stand with, this time, a small metal chain evening bag. Again, it seems casually placed.

Two collie dog puppies are placed here, one between two tobacco-brown cushioned chairs and one on the floor of the window. Their attentive expressions almost suggest they are listening to imagined music. The neutral-coloured dogs nicely link to the mostly neutral-coloured merchandise too.
