Summit in sight at Retail Design Expo 2016

Summit Retail Supplies, UK distributor for Italian group Plastimark’s design-led ranges of plastic shopping trolleys and baskets, will be showing its range of environmentally friendly and cost-effective products at Retail Design Expo 2016.

Summit Retail director Jon Haslam says that the ergonomic design and broad colour choice available with the ranges has made them a firm favourite with large retail groups in mainland Europe, an achievement that is expected to be repeated in the UK.

Plastimark trolleys run silently and, while purchase prices are competitive with traditional metal alternatives, offer low maintenance and repair costs. They even cause less damage to shopfittings – and people – when steered into them by distracted shoppers.

“They are an efficient and effective options because of these reduced costs – maintenance can cost a fraction of what you pay for metal trolleys,” says Haslam. Clients include French supermarket groups Carrefour and Intermarche.
