Arno picks Retail Design Expo 2017 to show its creative credentials

International retail consultancy Arno, which creates interiors, P-O-P units, shop-in-shop displays and digital displays, is to exhibit at Retail Design Expo 2017 – the first UK exhibition it has taken part in for 15 years. The German company has offices in the UK, Russia, Turkey, China and the US.

UK sales and marketing director Mark Aspin says the group seldom exhibits at industry events, but feels that Retail Design Expo 2017 will provide an ideal place to show its new creative direction.

“There’s a real experiential dimension to our work now, so a live open space is a good way to interact with our customers,” says Aspin. “And this is a new chapter for us. We’ve been searching really hard to get the right person to move our creative base forward.” Arno recently appointed former Fitch director Vijay Vyas as its new creative director.

Arno’s decision to exhibit was taken after a number of its senior management attended Retail Design Expo 2016. “There was some very good feedback,” says Aspin. He describes the current market as extremely busy, and says that this makes it a good time for Arno to take a high profile in industry events .

“The only slight cloud on the horizon is the possibility of ‘Brexit’” says Aspin. As a strongly pan-European company Arno is in favour of the UK remaining in the EU, which gives it another reason to support a UK event.

Work is now set to start on developing Arno’s stand for the 2017 event, which Aspin says will be a bespoke and experiential space featuring new technology including digital signage.
