POPAI renews support for Retail Design Expo in 2017

POPAI UK & Ireland has joined the National Association of Shopfitters and the SDEA in renewing its support for Retail Design Expo in 2017.

The industry association for the P-O-P sector will once again be attending Retail Design Expo with its own stand, with a large number of its members taking the opportunity to exhibit too. “Every industry needs a successful event. But we didn’t have one for years until Retail Design Expo came along,” says POPAI director Phil Day. “It’s very good at everything it is supposed to do: providing great content and getting the right people together.”

POPAI is planning to include more interactive elements to its own stand at Retail Design Expo next year, to better explain its own role and to gain maximum exposure for its research findings. Initiatives under consideration include a P-O-P Trail that will take visitors around in-store highlights and examples of best practice at the event.

The association will also be helping its members make the most of their attendance at Retail Design Expo. “By and large, as an industry, those of us in the P-O-P sector aren’t that good at selling ourselves to clients. But we work in retail, and Retail Design Expo provides a tremendous shop floor for us to show what we can do. People who work in P-O-P should be there,” says Day.

POPAI’s support for Retail Design Expo means the event has secured the support of all the main industry associations for the sector, for the third year running.
