Interactive, multi-touch screen technology has so much potential for the retail industry, but working out where to start and what to look for can be a daunting task. This is why 3M has produced a series of 'best practice guides', including one specifically aimed at the retail sector, designed to be non-technical and a simple, accessible source of inspiration.

Multi-touch technology makes a great basis for interactive, visually-exciting visitor information points, offering far more than just simple wayfinding and creating new revenue-generating opportunities and deeper visitor engagement.

For example, multiple on-screen 'windows' can be displayed at the same time, such as video or competition content relating to in-store promotions, DIY tutorials, try a dress on ‘virtually’, visit Santa’s online grotto, click on a virtual ‘advent’ calendar to see this year’s top toys….the potential is limitless.
