Big name retailers join Retail Design Expo steering panel for 2018

The steering panel for Retail Design Expo 2018 has been announced, with a number of new members from international retailers and brands joining the group as the event grows.

Members are joining the panel from several sectors. KFC brand creative design manager Jade Swaby, Mothercare head of retail equipment and store planning Andrew Price and Tommy Hilfiger director of global windows Marieke Gerritsma-Kessels are among the new members.

They are joined by Marks & Spencer global visual manager for food, ambient and seasonal events Charlotte Parsons, Debenhams space planning and store development director Mark Jordan, Duracell brand management director Xenia Olajosova, House of Fraser director of store development David Blakeney, Wickes head of customer experience Rosie Wise and Costa Coffee senior manager of global store design Sonal Redgrove.

Many longstanding supporters of Retail Design Expo remain on the panel, including senior managers from companies such as Superdrug, Adidas, Clarks, B&Q and Unilever.

“The level of support for Retail Design Expo within the design community is one of the keys to its success,” says event manager Sarah Adams. “The steering panel is like our eyes and ears, making sure that we use our conference programme to address all of the issues that really matter. With such a high standard of members, the panel will ensure that this year’s programme is the best one yet.”
