Dacia closes pop-up on Black Friday to emphasise year-round value

No-nonsense car brand Dacia has opened a pop-up at Westfield Stratford City – and promptly closed in after one of trading to highlight its view that Black Friday is a marketing gimmick. The store will reopen tomorrow (Saturday 25 November) and trade until Sunday 3 December.

Dacia says it is committed to providing year-round value, and that by closing its store - on a day when the shopping centre is expected to see 185,000 visitors - it is emphasising that stance.

“At Dacia, we offer great value every day and not just on one day a year. We hope that closing our Westfield Stratford pop-up on the day synonymous with ‘bargains’ will show UK shoppers that, at Dacia, Black Friday is just another Friday - exceptional value should be every day,” says head of Dacia UK Louise O’Sullivan.

The pop-up store gives customers the chance to explore the Dacia range, and is running a competition with prizes including Ruby League tickets for the Dacia Magic Weekend at St James’ Park in May 2018.
