Ann Summers changes its name to celebrate International Women's Day

Women’s lingerie and sex toy retailer Ann Summers has temporarily rebranded some of its landmark London stores to celebrate International Women’s Day 2019, which takes place today (8 March).

The retailer’s stores at Oxford Street and Marble Arch have changed their name to Womann Summers, and are offering exclusive goodie bags to the first 100 customers to visit the stores and share a photograph of the name change to their Instagram account.

Staff will wear t-shirts featuring the altered branding at the chain’s top 20 stores.

“International Women's Day, has marked the plight and achievements of women for more than a century.  It is a day when women all over the world can inspire one another, celebrating everything that we have achieved and to recognize how much further there is still to go. Empowering women, is something that I am personally, incredibly passionate about, and at Ann Summers we proudly stand for sexual empowerment, for every woman,” says Ann Summers CEO Jacqueline Gold.
