Bohemian Rhapsody light feature switched on at Carnaby Street

London’s Carnaby Street has hosted the switching-on of an exclusive light installation created to promote the opening of the new Queen film Bohemian Rhapsody, created by Twentieth Century Fox and Regency Enterprises.

Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor and members of the film cast attended the ceremony, which was watched by thousands of people.

“We are delighted to collaborate with such an iconic band and one of the world’s most famous rock songs, Bohemian Rhapsody. Visitors to Carnaby will love this spectacular light installation and can immerse themselves in the ultimate Queen experience,” says Simon Quayle, director of property group Shaftesbury.

A pop-up store and free exhibition linked to the film has been trading since earlier this month, selling related merchandise. It has featured appearances by the official Madama Tussauds figure of late Queen singer Freddie Mercury.
