Creche first for Hemel Hempstead shopping centre

The Marlowes in Hemel Hempstead has been the first UK shopping centre to open an OFSTED-approved Tinies Creche.

Shopping centre owner Capital & Regional has worked with Tinies to develop the facility, which will open later this month, as part of a strategy to improve its community shopping initiatives.

Visitors to the shopping centre will be able to enjoy two hours of free childcare in the creche, which is located in the Family Zone area, which opened in May this year.

“We are delighted to be introducing new brands and supporting new collaborations to augment guest experience,” says Capital & Regional chief executive Lawrence Hutchings. “Tinies will really enhance our existing Family Zone at The Marlowes, where we’ll provide all of our guests, parents and children with a memorable experience. Parents can enjoy their shopping or work-out, knowing their children are in a safe, fun and controlled environment, while the kids can have a lot of fun.

Lindsey Doe, managing director of Tinies Daycare adds: “The team at Capital & Regional have created a great creche facility within their dedicated family zone at The Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead. From concept, through to design, Capital and Regional have demonstrated their commitment to creating a stimulating environment for their younger guests.  We have been very impressed by their attention to detail to get the area right and we very much look forward to operating the facility.”
