Design showcase: Herman Ze German lands in Birmingham

Herman Ze German has opened its first UK branch outside London, at Grand Central in Birmingham.

The brand will sell its signature currywurst and schnitzel dishes from the 65 sq m (700 sq ft) unit, which provides 42 covers.

Design is by Berlin-based designer Lena Kramer. The space employs a bright and open concept to reflect the venue, which is part of the Bullring Estate managed by Hammerson. Neon lights, featuring company motto ‘Our Wurst is ze Best,’ help to grab attention.

“Birmingham is a successful and exciting city and we already feel right at home amongst the line-up of fantastic casual dining operators,” says Herman Ze German co-founder Azadeh Falakshahi.
