Dessert bar Whisk picks spot for second pop-up

Dessert bar brand Whisk is to open its first central London pop-up venue, at Angel Central in Islington.

The brand is a collaboration between patisserie chef Simon Jenkins and entrepreneur Randon Burns. It offers a three course dessert tasting menu that features innovative food pairings.

The pop-up will occupy a 195 sq m (2,100 sq ft) first floor unit next to a Vue cinema, and will open from Tuesday to Saturday from the middle of May until early August.

The venue will be the second pop-up from Whisk, following its debut last year in Bethnal Green.

“After a successful debut in Bethnal Green, we wanted to find the perfect location for our second pop-up, and we were so excited when we found this space,” says Randon Burns. “Islington’s affluent demographic and central London location provides us with confidence that it will be a success when we open for business over the summer. Whether it’s a lunch time sweet treat, or a post-cinema pudding, we can’t wait to welcome new visitors at Angel Central.”
