Extinction Rebellion mural for new London market

Camden Market owner LabTech has collaborated with eco-activist group Extinction Rebellion to create a mural in Buck Street Market. The new venue is being promoted as the UK's first eco-friendly market.

Project manager Ella Joy and artist Gage Graphics worked to create a symbol of hope, with the image portraying an impression of the watching eye of Mother Nature looking through the heart of mountains. It is intended as a reminder to everybody to be responsible and compassionate for the world around us.

Buck Street Market is intended as the first UK market dedicated entirely to sustainable food and ethical fashion products. It aims to encourage shoppers to think differently about the environmental impact of their everyday lives.

“For a market such as Buck Street, it’s really important that we can showcase that we can be progressive, and that change is possible. As an organisation, Extinction Rebellion resonates strongly with many of the visitors and residents of Camden and we feel this mural reflects a meaningful edge to our commitment to sustainability. We hope to inspire change across other businesses and to show that you can lead by example,” says Labtech creative brand and marketing director Georgia Frost.
