Festival of Light for Bullring Estate

The Bullring Estate in Birmingham has been hosting a Festival of Light over the last week, transforming the estate’s St Martin’s Square with interactive installations chosen to surprise and engage visitors of all ages. The project is part of a series of experiential promotions scheduled through the year.

Visitors can engage in multisensory experiences, including Lightbattle X, where competing teams use the pedal power of bicycles to generate light displays, and Control No Control, where guests use the movement of their hands and bodies to create unique displays.

Mark Bourgeois, managing director of centre owner Hammerson, says, “More and more people are looking for unique experiences, that’s why we’re investing £2m in experiential events this year. The Festival of Light is a fantastic spectacle that is sure to attract people from all over the Midlands, and will really reinforce Bullring & Grand Central’s position as one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations.”

The Festival of Light will continue until 10 March.
