Finland's first premium outlet centre opens

Zsar Outlet Village – the first open space outlet village in Finland – is opening today (29 November 2018).

The development is the first premium outlet centre in the Nordic countries, and is located to capitalise on cross-border tourism between the EU and Russia. The centre has been designed by architectural firm Arkkitehtikonttori Petri Pussinen, for developer Zsar Oy, in a neoclassical style inspired by buildings in St Petersburg and Helsinki from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The first phase of the centre will feature 65 stores, from brands including Adidas, Braccialini, Roberto Cavalli and Zwilling, as well as a number of restaurants and coffee shops.

“Zsar Outlet Village is going to open up new horizons -- not just for the Finnish shoppers but for cross-border travelers from Russia and beyond.  The centre is literally entering new territory in terms of outlet design and customer appeal and it will create whole new opportunities for additional growth and travel in the region,” says Zsar Oy CEO Sami Vainiomäki.
