Floor projection campaign for Spar City Supermarket in the Netherlands

Spar City Supermarket in the Netherlands has been grabbing customer attention with digital floor projection campaigns created to highlight specific brands in-store.

The campaign was created by Windo Displays, using Optoma hardware. It has seen brand messages and advertisements projected onto the floor of the store next to relevant products.

The Floorcaster Pro system has been developed by Windo Displays for use in stores where physical space is scarce. It can be mounted on any kind of shelving unit or wall, meaning that customers do not block the projection. The projectors work alone as part of a wireless digital signage network, and are bright enough to be visible in ambient light.

Spar franchisee Iris Cornelissen says, “First impressions were really good. Customers really noticed the images on the floor and stood there watching what would come next. The FloorCaster Pro was first installed near the chocolate section. After that it was positioned near our fresh sandwiches. It ran in combination with our other advertisement solutions… It’s an easy device to operate, we only adjusted the image focus a couple of times, that’s it. It powers-up automatically when the store opens and shuts down when the store closes.”
