Fortnum & Mason to open Hong Kong store

British retail and hospitality brand Fortnum & Mason is to open a new store and restaurant in Hong Kong, its first outside the UK. Opening in September, it will be located in K11 MUSEA, a new retail destination within the US$2.6bn Victoria Dockside development.

The opening in in response to growing international demand for Fortnum’s products and services. It will seek to complement the brand’s current partnerships across Asia, with retailers including Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, Isetan Mitsukoshi in Japan, and Shinsegae in South Korea.

The 650 sq m (7,000 sq ft) will offer a store, featuring an edited selection of the retailer’s most popular ranges, and an upstairs restaurant with harbour views.

K11 MUSEA will form the anchor of a 278,709 sq m (3m sq ft) art and district created to revitalise Hong Kong’s harbour front. Architects James Corner and Forth Bagley have led the scheme, in collaboration with more than 100 international and local architects, artists and designers.
