Leon opens first Irish branch in Dublin's Temple Bar

Restaurant chain Leon has opened its first branch in the Republic of Ireland, located in the popular Temple Bar district of Dublin.

Architecture and design consultancy RPA: Group worked on a range of initial design, construction drawings, and 3D visuals for the project.

Leon’s branch concept is continually evolving, with every restaurant given its own look to reflect its location. In Dublin, the brand’s latest graphics and materials palette has been used.

This includes brick slips on the walls and New York loft-style glazing that emphasises the industrial feel of the space.

The corner site has two entrances, and has retained a number of existing exterior feature – although the glazing was replaced to allow more natural light into the restaurant, with an enlarged structural opening for the fascia.

An additional seating area was created in the basement, which had not been used by the previous occupant of the site.
