Licensed pancake venue Stack & Still expands to second branch

Stack & Still – which operates the UK’s largest licensed bar and pancake venue – is to open its second branch.

The Glaswegian company opened its debut site, in Glasgow’s city centre, in October 2018. It served more than half a million pancakes in its first six months of operation. Its second store will open in July, in the Winter Garden at Silverburn shopping centre.

The dual level store has been designed by an in-house team led by marketing director Ben Howell. It will seat up to 185 customers.

“We have been blown away by the response to Stack & Still since launching last year. We knew pancakes would be well received and we have been delighted with the incredible reaction, says Stack & Still co-owner Paul Reynolds. “Expansion and roll out have always been part of our strategy and given the popularity of Silverburn, the ease of parking, and their consistent growth in customer footfall we are confident it will be the perfect location for our second site.

Iain Mitchell, UK commercial director at Silverburn parent group Hammerson, says: “We are delighted to welcome Stack & Still as a great example of a local, independent brand that has a truly unique offer. Introducing more exciting brands like Stack & Still across our portfolio is a real focus for us, as we know our customers love an experience that is different. The brand will be a great addition to the already strong food and drink line-up at Silverburn.”
