LUMAS Gallery to open London flagship

LUMAS Gallery, which sells limited edition art prints, is to open a UK flagship branch at Seven Dials in London this September.

The brand was founded in Berlin in 2004, with a mission that involved the ‘liberation of art’. It offers museum-quality, limited-edition fine art and photography prints.

It will now be opening a 186 sq m (2,000 sq ft) store in a corner unit on Earlham Street, overlooking the landmark Sundial Pillar in Seven Dials. It will display artworks in spaces designed to emulate customer’s homes, in line with the interiors of more than 30 branches worldwide.

The interior concept was designed by Dan Pearlman, with local adaptation and visual merchandising carried out by an in-house team.

“London has such a rich art scene, so it’s great to establish firm new foundations in the heart of the West End. We view LUMAS Galleries as a welcoming hub for people to meet and get in touch with art and look forward to being part of the wider Seven Dials community which shares these values,” says LUMAs Gallery COO Mark Beyer.

“We’re thrilled to open another UK flagship in Seven Dials and welcome LUMAS Gallery to a key location. The evolving collection exhibited on-site will add to the sense of discovery throughout Seven Dials, while providing the innovation and diversity which visitors are increasingly looking for in the bricks and mortar experience,” adds Sam Bain-Mollison, head of retail at Seven Dials landlord Shaftesbury.
