Maya Magal to open third store

UK jeweller Maya Magal is to open its third store, at Coal Drops Yard in London’s King’s Cross.

The store has been designed in-house and follows the same formula as the brand’s existing branches, which was developed to reflect the hand-crafted nature of the merchandise.

Maya Magal’s eponymous founder launched the brand in 2013. Based in Islington, it offers accessible, everyday luxury jewellery with a classic and minimal look focused on the use of gold and silver.

Store interiors offer bright, warm and homely spaces and encourage a tactile shopping experience with displays that highlight the hand-making process. “At Coal Drops Yard, we want to create a truly unique and interactive jewellery store, celebrating our new home and affirming the brand’s DNA as we grow,” says Magal.

Established in 1850 as London’s primary coal store, Coal Drops Yard has been reinvented by Heatherwick Studio as a retail attraction.
