Name change and redesign for Gretna Gateway Outlet Village

Gretna Gateway Outlet Village is to be renamed as Caledonia Park, to reflect design changes that will follow a £7m investment by owner RPMI Railpen.

The redesign, by Urban Edge Architecture, will see new timber facades applied to stores, and canopies provided for public spaces. The changes have been conceived to blend an element of heritage with contemporary Scottish architecture. A range of natural materials, including recycled stone paving, will be used.

“Caledonia Park will be a vibrant hub for retail and dining in the heart of Southern Scotland. We have seen outstanding performance to date, and the refreshed offer and re-branding will bring a new level of momentum for the village. The strategic regeneration meets our core investment themes and lays the foundations for long-term growth,” says RPMI Railpen head of property asset management, Matthew Howard.

The rebranding of the centre is happening immediately, with the refurbishment work scheduled to be completed by the end of Autumn 2020. Brands trading at the centre include Polo Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss and Nike.
