Nature-themed shopping centre for Silicon Valley campus

A new 2,230 sq m (24,000 sq ft) retail centre is to open in Mission Park, in Santa Clara, California, in in May. The development is part of a 46 acre office campus in the heart of Silicon Valley, and will offer a walkable social hub with lots of amenities.

BCV Architecture + Interiors has designed the centre, which will house a range of retail and food and beverage brands.

Wood has been used as a prominent design feature at the centre, to reflect the increasing focus among consumers and employers on wellness and a connection to nature. The centre will seek to create a sense of place for the large numbers of local employees, and is adjacent to a 175 room Element Westin Hotel.
