New bowl food brand Sow seeks more London sites

A new counter service food brand is to launch in London this summer. Sow will open on Great Marlborough Street, with design by Freehaus.

The concept is backed by investor Shemeel Khan, and led by Peter Farrell, a former Prescott & Conran operations manager, and chef Frederick Forster. Sow will offer a range of hot and cold bowl food, freshly prepared, and with health-conscious, vegan and gluten-free options.

The 102 sq m (1,100 sq ft) site has been designed to offer seamless counter service, in a modern and vibrant interior, which features a terracotta-clad counter and natural colour palette throughout. As well as a ‘grab and go’ offer Sow will offer indoor seating for 22, with a further eight covers outside.

“Although there are many takeaway options in London, we saw a space in the market for fresh, made-to-order bowl food that delivers on flavour and goodness. Frederick is a hugely talented chef and our all-day versatile menu works for breakfast, lunch and dinner,” says Farrell.

Sow plans to open a further two sites this year in high footfall London locations.
