New development head for Perkins + Will

Design and architecture group Perkins+Will has appointed a new head of its corporate and commercial projects, run from its Los Angeles studio.

David Sheldon has worked on major mixed-use project design strategies for clients including Simon, GGP, Macerich, working on both tenant and landlord sides of developments. He launched the Jerde Partnership in Amsterdam, and has worked across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, India, and China.

“David Sheldon joins the LA Practice with a unique set of skills,” says LA office managing director Eric Aukee. “He is a consummate collaborator and communicator who understands the critical link between a strong personal relationship and the ability to help guide a client’s vision into a strategy for success.”

“Tomorrow’s commercial development is a fusion of retail, workplace, fitness, food, and entertainment all colliding,” says Sheldon. “My vision is to leverage Perkins+Will’s capabilities to create enhanced experiential moments across all typologies.”
