Skinsmiths kickstarts UK expansion with four London branches

New Zealand skincare brand Skinsmiths is set to open its first UK stores this summer. The retailer has been working with experience design agency YourStudio to develop the stores, which will operate as clinics providing treatments while immersing customers in the Skinsmiths brand.

Four initial London sites have been secured, in Hanwell, Belgravia, Wimbledon and Clapham, the latter being a flagship site. The brand has plans to establish 40 UK branches over the next two years, and YourStudio has planned for six further sites this year.

The brief called for a unique and distinctive presence that will be both recognisable and scalable, to match the ambitious expansion plans upon which Skinsmiths has embarked. Interiors will seek to provide a serene environment to ease customers into their beauty treatments, with every brand touchpoint carefully considered.

Customers enter into an open and inviting space which encourages a conversational approach from treatment specialists. A welcome and check-in area allows informal conversations and allows for the purchase of Skinsmiths products.

Comfortable treatment rooms have been designed to step away from a clinical feel. The stores feature a soft colour palette and gentle lighting, while furniture has been chosen to add texture and comfort.
