Slim Chickens opens first UK franchise outside London

US casual dining brand Slim Chickens has opened its first UK franchised branch outside London, at St David’s in Cardiff. The brand has more than 80 outlets in North America.

The 223 sq m (2,400 sq ft) restaurant has been designed by an in-house team. It offers 76 covers, and feature digital kiosks and menu screens and a self-serve drinks station Wood and brick finishes are highlighted with informal graphics and vintage-style illustrations.

CEO of Slim Chickens parent company BRG, Tom Crowley, says: “St David’s really stood out to launch our first site outside of London and as a launch pad for our regional expansion plans. The concept is perfectly placed in the destination and brings our high-quality handmade food and modern digital experience to St David’s; one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations.”

Slim Chickens is located on the ground floor of the Cardiff centre, adjacent to a branch of Ed’s Easy Diner.
