Street scene Thai restaurant setting up its stall in Liverpool ONE

Thai Leisure Group (TLG) is to open the first Thaikun Street Bar, which will incorporate a traditional Thai street scene, at Liverpool ONE.

TLG operates restaurants under the Thaikun and Chaophraya brands, and the new Thaikun Street Bar will be in a 279 sq m (3,000 sq ft) adjacent to an existing branch of Chaophraya. The menu will feature a range of cocktails and traditional Thai bar snacks, and the bar will host weekend events including live music acts and DJ sets.

The venue will use a format that pays homage to its Thai roots, with a vibrant décor that includes bric-a-brac and a tuk-tuk imported directly from Thailand. Design is understood to have been carried out in-house.

“As the first project of its kind, the brand new bar concept is very exciting for us all. Offering unique Thai experiences is something we’re hugely passionate about and with this fantastic offer, I have no doubt it will succeed,” says TLG founder Kim Laewraihot. “Liverpool ONE’s wide range of bars and dining experiences is one of the most comprehensive and compelling in the UK, which made it an easy decision for us to open our very first Thaikhun Street Bar in Liverpool. It demonstrates our continued commitment to be at the forefront of the hospitality sector.”
