The Staying Inn pop-up opened by sofa retailer DFS

Sofa retailer DFS has launched a pop-up experience – called The Staying Inn – to highlight the appeal of an evening at home.

Located at Tanner & Co in Bermondsey, London, The Staying Inn has been designed by 2LG Studio. The interior provides six lounge and dining spaces, all featuring the latest DFS sofa and dining furniture ranges.

The pop-up features food from Masterchef Champion 2018 Kenny Tutt and will offer six unique events including a book club offering ‘the ultimate sofa dinner and book club,’ a Sofa Yoga Wellbeing Brunch, and a Halloween Fancy Dress Party.

“The way we are using our homes is changing all the time. Our own research has highlighted that 40% of Brits are going out less than they did five years ago and 60% prefer to spend their Friday and Saturday nights staying in,” says DFS chief marketing and commercial officer Toni Wood.

“We created The Staying Inn to inspire our customers and show that it’s possible to create spaces that blend form and function. A home needs to be many things to many people, hopefully what we’ve captured at the Staying Inn is an inspiring vision - where the comfort and familiarity of home meets the glamour of a night out.

“While the events programme will allow hundreds of customers to directly engage with the brand on a much deeper level, we are really excited about the opportunity to drive brand consideration at scale by blending authentic influencer marketing with media relations and engaging content to deliver inspiration and practical advice to our customers in way that’s truly relevant.”

Opened today (25 October) The Staying Inn will close on 30 October.
