Tortilla expands with new 'baby' branch format

Mexican fast food chain Tortilla is to open a smaller format branch, known as the baby Tortilla concept, at a site on The Cut in Southwark, London.

Designed by Fusion DNA, the 102 sq m (1,100 sq ft) unit will provide 32 covers over ground and basement levels.

“2018 was a good year for Tortilla and we are excited to continue this momentum with a number of new openings in 2019.  We have worked with Shelley Sandzer for many years across several of our sites, so we know we can rely on their expert knowledge of the industry to deliver the very best locations across the country,” says Tortilla property director Rob Lucy.

Property group Shelley Sandzer helped to secure the property. “Tortilla is the perfect example of an operator that understands their customer and continues to deliver the right product in the right environment,” says partner Casey Philips.
