Wine specialist restaurant to open in The Yards

Independent wine workshop and kitchen 28º-50º is the latest restaurant brand to confirm it will join The Yards, a newly rebranded development of interconnecting courtyards in London's Covent Garden.

28º-50º is designing a 650 sq m (7,000 sq ft) space in the development, at 10 Upper St Martin's lane. The new restaurant will be adjacent to Dishoom, which is currently undergoing a redesign and refurbishment.

Providing 180 covers, the new branch will be a 'big sister' to the original 28º-50º in Marylebone. It will serve a modern European menu in contemporary surroundings, with sommeliers on hand to advise diners on food and wine pairings.

“We wanted a prime space with real character for our flagship concept, and The Yards is an ideal location. This restaurant will build on our brand’s strong food and wine heritage, with a décor redolent of our famous wine workshop, but with a modern twist, to meet The Yards’ development ambitions,” says 28º-50º founder Richard Green. “Our location on Upper St Martin’s Lane is both well-connected and highly visible taking advantage of the dual aspect footfall from where Seven Dials meets Covent Garden.”
